This season we’re in the mood to celebrate! To say thank you to our listeners we’re giving you the chance to win a one-year Podcast Pro membership with our ‘New Year Prize 2017’ competition. You can learn legal English for free! The competition starts on Friday 22nd December 2017 09:00 GMT and closes on Friday 5th January 2018 17:00 GMT. With the winner announced on Monday 8th January 2018.

To enter the competition, we ask you to share with us a photo/s. Each photo should show what learning legal English means to you. For example, this could be a picture of you listening to the Study Legal English podcast, a picture of you giving a presentation at work, or it could be a picture of what this will help you achieve – a place at university or your dream job.

How to Enter

1. You can EITHER email your details (name, location, email address, photo and caption) to info@studylegalenglish.com OR fill out the form on the right hand side. Make sure to add your full name, email and country and then click the ‘Upload your photos’ button and upload your picture. Add a caption (a short sentence) about your picture and then click submit. You will see a message confirming your submission.
2. You can share as many pictures as you want to. To do this you must resubmit a form. Simply refresh the page and resubmit.
3. On Monday 8th January 2018 the winning picture will be announced, selected by us at Study Legal English. You could be the lucky winner of a one-year Podcast Pro membership!

Terms and Conditions
1. This prize competition opens at 09:00 GMT on 22 December 2017 and closes at 17:00 GMT on 5 January 2018. It runs for fifteen consecutive days.
2. This prize competition is open to anyone over 18 years of age. However, this promotion is not open to employees of the promoter, its group companies, agents or anyone professionally connected with this promotion and any member of their respective immediate families.
3. You must not enter this promotion if this promotion is unlawful in the jurisdiction in which you are resident.
4. To enter, complete the form and upload a photograph at www.studylegalenglish.com/New-year-prize-2017. The photograph should show what learning legal English means to you. For example, this could be a picture of you listening to the Study Legal English podcast, a picture of you giving a presentation at work, or it could be a picture of what this will help you achieve – a place at university or your dream job. You fill in all the designated fields when you upload your photograph to be eligible. The default caption for your picture is ‘Learning Legal English’.
5. You may submit as many different photographs as you like. Each new photograph will need to be submitted individually and will count as one entry.
6. Your entry photograph must not: (a) advocate bigotry or hatred against any person or group of people based on their race, religion, ethnicity, sex, gender identity, sexual preference, disability, or impairment; (b) contain content which is unlawful, defamatory, harmful to minors or inappropriate, including content that depicts racism, sexism, or abusive, profane, illegal, obscene, violent, offensive, pornographic or indecent behaviour, language or acts or that contains extreme acts of violence; (c) violate the privacy or infringe the rights of others, including by sharing personal, in particular sensitive, data or photos of others or their property without their consent; (d) contain any virus, bug or technical defect that would corrupt or otherwise affect the security, integrity or operation of the promoter’s website or database.
7. Your entry photograph must be an original work and must not infringe another person’s rights, including copyright or other intellectual property rights, and by submitting it, you promise to us that this is the case.
8. Study Legal English reserves the right at any time, in its absolute discretion, to:
  - verify the eligibility of any entrant (including their age and place of residence);
  - disqualify any entrant found to be abusing or tampering with the operation of the competition or entering using fraudulent means, or who the promoter believes to have acted in breach of these terms and conditions;
  - disqualify entrants who do not give correct contact details or those who make an entry on someone else’s behalf; and
  - disqualify any entrant submitting an entry that is inappropriate, offensive or upsetting to other entrants, fans of Study Legal English or contrary to applicable law or in breach of the competition’s terms and conditions.
9. A winning photograph will be chosen after the closing date of the competition. The winning photograph will be announced on 8 January 2018.
10. Study Legal English will contact the person who submitted the winning photograph by email on 7 January 2018. The winner will be asked to acknowledge this email and to confirm that they accept the prize within 24 hours. If a winner does not accept the prize, a new winner will be selected.
11. The prize for the winner will be a one-year Podcast Pro membership. The winner will receive a coupon to enter when subscribing to become a Podcast-Pro member which entitles them to one-year of free Podcast Pro membership.
12. The prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, and is not redeemable for cash. The prize is non-assignable and relates only to Podcast Pro membership of Study Legal English and cannot be transferred to another organisation. Should Study Legal English cease trading, the membership will no longer be available.
13. Study Legal English accepts no responsibility for any costs associated with any participant’s participation in the promotion.
14. All personal data submitted in connection with this promotion will be processed by Study Legal English for the purposes of administering and managing the promotion and the prizes (where applicable) and verifying the eligibility of each participant. Study Legal English is committed to protecting the privacy of all participants. Data that is collected from or about participants will be used in accordance with the promoter’s Privacy Policy, a copy of which can be found at: https://studylegalenglish.com/privacy-policy/), and in accordance with applicable data protection legislation.
15. The prize is conditional in each case upon the winner agreeing to take part in reasonable publicity by the Study Legal English, including by agreeing to allow the promoter to use the winner’s name, country, photograph and details in marketing materials.
16. Winners of the prize competition hereby acknowledge that by uploading of any information or photographs onto the prize competition entry page, including, but not limited to, text and images, they grant Study Legal English a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, transferable, irrevocable and fully sub-licensable right to:
  - use, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, distribute, publish, create derivative works from and publicly display and perform that information throughout the world in any media, now known or hereafter devised; and
  - use the name that the member submits in connection with such information.
17. This promotion is not in any way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with any third parties or social media platforms. Participants acknowledge that social media platforms used to promote the promotion shall not have any liability to them in connection with this promotion.
18. Study Legal English excludes all liability for any damages, claims, losses and/or expenses incurred by any participant in connection with this promotion.
19. These terms and conditions are governed by English law.
