Convention (Noun)

Definition:  Convention has a number of meanings.

1. A multilateral treaty, or an agreement which is less formal than a treaty.

2. A large meeting similar to a conference.

3. The custom or normal way of doing something.

Example: The Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties sets out international laws governing treaties.
